Matt is a senior and aspiring college counselor. After transferring from the College of the Sequoias in the Central Valley, he got involved at UCSB through research, teaching, and mentoring opportunities. This year, Matt continues research on K-12 STEM education with the recent graduate he assisted. His areas of historical interest include cultural history, social history, gender history, public history, food history, imperial Russia, and late medieval and early modern Europe. Combining his enthusiasm for history with a passion for traveling, Matt has traveled in Europe and Asia with fellow history students. He also enjoys seeing nature and hiking.
